The Rainwater Harvesting as one of Water Resources Developments in Taiwan

Abstract
Strictly speaking, any water usage that collects water from a rainfall receiving area, such as a watershed or a roof surface, is called a rainwater harvesting system. Some hundred years ago, a lot of farm ponds were used to collect rainwater during wet seasons to replenish the shortage of water resources during dry seasons. In the 20th century, dams and reservoirs were erected for the same purpose.
