영시 Apparently with no surprise - Emily Dickinson
Apparently with no surprise
To any happy Flower
The Frost beheads it at its play --
In accidental power --
The blonde Assassin passes on --
The Sun proceeds unmoved
To measure off another Day
For an Approving God.
2. 시의 Paraphrasing
Any flower is happy. Happy flower is at its play.
But the frost cuts off the head of the flower.
The frost exercises its killing power without any plan. The killing is by chance.
And it is apparent that neither the flower nor the frost is not surprised at the killing.
The killer, whose hair is blond, goes on his way.
And the sun also goes on, showing no pity or sympathy for the killed flower,
And he himself cuts another day off.
God approves of the cutting off.
